Are diagnostics free?
Yes, diagnosis is free. If a fault needs deeper testing, that’s £20 (£30 for business and trade), and micro-level chip testing is £49. You’re always told the cost first, and testing is charged even if the fault can’t be fixed.
What are deeper testing and chip testing?
Deeper testing (£20, or £30 for business and trade) is longer, more detailed testing when the free check doesn’t find the fault. Micro-level chip testing (£49) tests individual chips on the circuit board. You’re told the cost before any testing starts.
What happens after testing?
You get the price first, and nothing is repaired without your OK. Repairs come with a 90-day guarantee on parts and labour.
Do prices include parts?
Fixed prices include the work stated. Screens, charging ports and recovery parts are extra where shown as “plus parts”.
No fix, no fee?
No fix, no fee applies to data recovery and simple diagnostics. Deeper testing, chip testing, jobs over an hour and call-outs are charged whatever the outcome.
Will I lose my files?
Drives can fail during testing, so back up first or ask us to do it. Any copies we make are deleted within 3 days of you confirming you have everything.
