Computer repair for Hedon doesn't always need a trip across Hull. Hedon is on the east side of the city, in HU12, and my workshop is in North Cave to the west. So for Hedon customers I solve as much as I can remotely, and arrange drop-off or courier collection for anything that needs the bench.

Remote Support First
A surprising number of problems are software, not hardware. With your permission, I can connect to your computer over the internet and fix it while you watch. This works well for:
- Pop-ups, fake warnings and slow browsers
- Email that has stopped sending or receiving
- Printers and scanners that won't connect
- Windows updates that are stuck
- Installing and setting up software
Only ever allow remote access to someone you contacted yourself. Real companies don't cold-call you to fix your computer.
Virus and Malware Removal
If your computer is suddenly slow, your browser home page has changed or you're seeing pop-ups, it may be infected. I remove the malware, check for anything left behind, and make sure your antivirus and updates are working. See virus removal.

Hacked Email and Accounts
Friends getting strange emails from you? Locked out of your account? Act quickly. I can help you:
- Regain access to the hacked email account
- Change passwords and switch on two-step verification
- Remove rules the hacker set up to forward or hide your emails
- Check your computer and phone for anything left behind
The guide on what to do if your email is hacked covers the first steps, and hacked account recovery explains the service.

Hardware Repairs by Drop-Off or Courier
Broken screens, failed drives and laptops that won't power on need workshop time. Hedon is well outside the free 5-mile collection area, so the options are:
- Drop-off at North Cave, including early morning or evening by arrangement
- Courier collection from your home β ask for a price
Small Businesses in Hedon
If you run a small business, I offer ongoing IT support β email, backups, security and a person to call when something breaks. Ask about a monthly arrangement.
Been Targeted by a Scam?
Scam calls and emails are one of the main reasons people contact me for computer repair in Hedon. A caller claims to be from your broadband provider, your bank or Microsoft, says your computer has a problem, and asks you to install software so they can "fix" it.
If that has happened:
- Turn the computer off or disconnect it from the internet
- If you gave any bank details, call your bank using the number on your card
- Don't log in to anything else on that computer until it's been checked
- Ring me, and I'll remove the remote access software and check for anything else left behind
The guide on spotting scam calls lists the common tricks used around Hull and the East Riding.
Hedon Computer Repair FAQs
Is remote support safe?
Yes, when you contact the technician yourself. I use a one-time code that you give me, and you can watch everything and end the session at any time.
My email has been hacked. What should I do first?
Change the password from a device you trust, then check the email settings for forwarding rules. Call me if you can't get back in.
Do you collect from Hedon?
Hedon is outside the free collection area. Courier collection can be arranged, or you can drop off at North Cave.
Can you support my small business?
Yes. I can look after email, backups, security and day-to-day problems.
